You can also press to jump in any direction whilst climbing, this method of movement is faster, and can cross gaps of unclimbable surface, but it uses more stamina than just climbing slowly. You can climb in any direction, though climbing or just hanging onto the side of a structure will continually use up some of your stamina. When it comes to natural or man-made surfaces, you can climb on most in the game, with notable exceptions being gold materials and solid blue ice - generally the best places to climb are indicated with dark colours of rock, both bricked and natural. You can mash the Dodge/Sprint keys to stand up faster and avoid further damage. When you are hit with heavy damage, your character will often be knocked down into a "ragdolled" state, with the amount of damage impacting how long you'll be stuck in this state. In Boost Mode, it will only deplete whilst in a storm or extreme cold, such as bodies of water, and will slowly regenerate whilst outside of these areas. In Survival Mode, Cold Resistance will deplete over time both in and out of storms, and requires a source of heat to regenerate and will not do so automatically. In Survival Mode the state of your Hunger and Exhaustion meters will both positively and negatively impact your rate of Stamina Regeneration, on Boost Mode you will only gain positive effects, and neglecting the meters will not negatively impact your abilities. Survival Mode is what the game launched with, whilst Boost Mode was added for people that aren't interested in managing the survival aspects of the game as much, such as Hunger, Exhaustion and Cold. There are also two modes to choose from that affect the gameplay in terms of your resistances in the game, these are Boost Mode, and Survival Mode. Having extremely low health will cause it to regenerate a small amount on Easy and Normal, but wont on Hard and Legendary Whilst swimming, the player will drown if you run out of stamina on Hard and Legendary difficulties, but will be fine on Easy and Normal Taking damage from the cold will reduce your health to near-death but not kill you on both Easy and Normal, but is capable of completely depleting your health and killing you on Hard and Legendary The amount of damage done by enemies is decreased on Easy, and Increased on both Hard and Legendary difficulties The way difficulty affects your game is as follows: When you start a New Game, you will be able to select from four different difficulties, Easy, Normal, Hard and Legendary. To check or change your keybindings, go to Settings -> Keyboard Controls on the main or pause menu. You can use equipped items with and climb on objects, enemies or the environment using. In Praey for the Gods you control your character in a fairly standard and recognisable way, using the keys to move around, to sprint and to jump. Exceptions to this would be if the screenshots is now entirely incorrect, the only changes you should notice should be graphical quality, thanks to the recent filters and graphical improvements that were added. Previous Versions - Some images and screenshots used in the guide will be taken from previous versions of the game, and will remain so until the game's "full" release out of early access where I will go back through and replace them all.

Officially unnamed things (like the enemy ghosts, "wraiths" as I refer to them) I'll continue to use my placeholder nicknames.Ĭontrols - This guide has been written playing the game with a Keyboard and Mouse, and as such all of the controls listed within will be the default Keyboard and Mouse prompts, though the game itself still has full controller support. Naming Conventions - As of the v1.0 release, all inventory-based items now have names and descriptions and the guide will be updated to appropriately reflect this, replacing the placeholder names I'd given things previously. If there's something missing from the guide that you'd like to see specifically, please let me know by leaving a comment. I put a lot of work into these guides with custom graphics and lots of in-game research, so if you enjoy it or find it useful, rating the guide would be much appreciated :D ! Either way, thanks for checking it out, and I hope it helps you out on your journey.
